Terms of Service

Effective 26 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Baseline Drivers website and platform ("Baseline Drivers," "we," "us"), operated by Baseline Drivers Ltd. in Nigeria. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

Baseline Drivers connects employers in Nigeria (households, corporates, and logistics operators) with professional drivers, building on 16 years of offline driver placement experience now run through this platform.

1 Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Baseline Drivers, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

If you are using Baseline Drivers on behalf of a company (for example, as a corporate or logistics employer), you confirm that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms, and "you" refers to that company as well as you personally.

2 What Baseline Drivers is (and isn't)

Baseline Drivers is a platform that lets drivers build a profile and apply to driving jobs, and lets employers search for, evaluate, and get in touch with drivers. We are not a party to any employment, engagement, or driving arrangement that results from using the platform, and we are not the employer of any driver who finds work through it.

Whether to hire, engage, or work with someone you meet through Baseline Drivers — and on what terms (pay, hours, duties, conduct) — is entirely between the driver and the employer. We recommend both sides agree those terms clearly and directly with each other before work begins.

3 Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including anyone you share your login with.
  • Each person or business should hold one account. Create a driver account to look for work, or an employer account to look for drivers — not both for the same real identity.
  • Employers choose a tier at signup — Individual / household or Corporate / logistics — which determines the search filters and preview limits available to that account, as described in your dashboard.
  • You can permanently delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which removes your profile, verification records, guarantor records, applications, and notification history. This cannot be undone.

4 Driver profiles, verification & guarantors

As a driver, the information in your profile (location, transmission capability, experience, availability, and similar details) is what employers use to decide whether to unlock your contact details. Keep it accurate — a profile that misrepresents your capabilities or verification status may be suspended.

Verification badges

Badges such as NIN verified, driver's license verified, and Spy Police certified reflect that we (or a vetting provider we use) actually checked the specific credential named. They are not a character reference, a background check, or a promise about how you will perform on the job — see Section 10.

Guarantors

If you add a guarantor to your profile, you are personally responsible for making sure that person has actually agreed to be named as your guarantor and has actually seen and accepted the liability warning shown on the guarantor form before you submit their details. Baseline Drivers relies entirely on your confirmation of this — we do not independently contact your guarantor to confirm their consent before the record is created.

A guarantor's NIN is recorded as you declare it and is not independently verified by us in real time. Guarantor details are never shown to employers — only the number of guarantors on file is part of your public preview — but they may be reviewed by us, shared with an employer, or shared with law enforcement if a claim of theft, dishonesty, or default is made against you in the course of work found through the platform. Submitting false information about a guarantor, or naming someone who has not actually agreed to guarantee you, is grounds for immediate account suspension.

6 Contact unlocks & payments

Browsing driver profiles and job listings is free. To see a driver's phone number, an employer purchases an unlock package — a set number of unlocks usable over a fixed period, at the price and terms shown at checkout. Drivers are never charged to browse jobs, apply, or be found by employers.

  • Once a driver's contact is unlocked, it stays visible to that employer indefinitely — buying more packages only affects how many new unlocks you can make, not access already granted.
  • The quota, period, and price of a package are fixed at the moment you buy it. A later change to our pricing or package terms never resizes a package you already purchased.
  • If you use up a package's quota before its period ends, you can buy a new package immediately — you are not required to wait out the original period.
  • Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your full card number.
  • Because an unlock delivers information immediately and cannot be "returned," purchases are non-refundable once a package is active, except where required by law or where we determine a payment was made in error (for example, a duplicate charge).

7 Driver Premium subscription

Drivers on the free tier can receive a limited number of WhatsApp job alerts per month. Driver Premium removes that monthly limit for a paid period, at the price and length shown in your dashboard at the time of purchase. Premium is a paid period you renew yourself — it does not automatically charge your payment method again when it expires. A change to the Premium price only affects a subscription you purchase after the change; it does not resize a period you already paid for.

8 Job listings from other sites

Some job listings shown on Baseline Drivers are sourced from other job boards and clearly marked "Found on [source]" rather than "Posted on Baseline." Applying to one of these takes you to the original listing — Baseline Drivers is not the poster or employer for that listing, and we do not vet, control, or take responsibility for its content or how the employer handles your application.

9 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false identity, verification, or guarantor information;
  • Use a phone number, or any other detail obtained through a contact unlock, for anything other than evaluating and contacting that driver for genuine work;
  • Scrape, bulk-download, resell, or republish profile data, job listings, or search results;
  • Post a job listing that is discriminatory, misleading, or not a genuine driving role;
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone you contact through the platform;
  • Attempt to circumvent our verification, payment, rate-limiting, or access-control systems.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

10 Verification is not a guarantee

Verification badges, guarantor counts, and match scores describe what was checked or how closely a profile matches stated criteria — they are not a certification of character, honesty, driving skill, or future conduct, and Baseline Drivers makes no such promise about any driver or employer. Employers are responsible for their own hiring decisions, including any additional reference or background checks they consider appropriate before engaging a driver.

11 Intellectual property

The Baseline Drivers name, logo, and site design belong to Baseline Drivers Ltd. You keep ownership of the content you submit (your profile details, photo, job postings), but you grant us a license to host, display, and use it to operate the platform — for example, showing your driver profile to employers who search for a match, or your job listing to drivers browsing jobs.

12 Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Baseline Drivers is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any search, match, or verification result is complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Baseline Drivers Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, or from any employment, engagement, or driving arrangement between a driver and an employer — including any loss, theft, or dishonesty by a driver, whether or not a guarantor was named. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

13 Suspension & termination

You may stop using Baseline Drivers and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, or poses a risk to other users, and we will generally try to tell you why.

14 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the platform changes. We will update the effective date above when we do; continuing to use Baseline Drivers after an update means you accept the revised Terms. For a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to let active users know.

15 Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Baseline Drivers is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
